"Avoid Aspartame Entirely"

It’s high time that Aspartame and all the many products containing it are put on the “only consume if you have a death wish” list.

Do you have ANY idea of the astonishingly long list of debilitating symptoms listed on the Aspartame Consumer Safety Network Fact Sheet? 

The first question that comes to my mind is, why would you want to consume products that have to be listed on a consumer safety fact sheet of any kind? My only conclusion can be that most people simply don’t know how harmful these products can be over time.

If you have been experiencing any, some or all of these many symptoms, it could be due to your consumption of Aspartame or artificial sweetener laden sodas and foods. You’d better sit down for this one.

Do you experience headaches, nausea, vertigo, insomnia, blurred vision, blindness, other eye problems, numbness, memory loss, slurred speech, depression, hyperactivity, personality changes, stomach disorders, seizures, skin lesions, rashes, anxiety attacks, muscle cramping and joint pain, loss of energy, symptoms that mimic heart attack, ringing in your ears, hearing loss and loss or change of taste, because any of these symptoms could be the result of consuming sodas, colas, or foods containing Aspartame.

Hundreds of pilots have reported adverse reactions so severe due to Aspartame consumption that they were considered life threatening. In an article in General Aviation News a former pilot suffered seizures whenever he drank diet soda and when he stopped consuming aspartame products, the seizures stopped.

Although seizures are common among aspartame consumers, headaches are the most common complaint. According to nutrition consultant, Caroline B. Kline, 18 million Americans suffer from migraine headaches. In her magazine article, “Migraine Makers”, she suggests Aspartame consumption as a possible culprit.

The Mexican government has issued a detailed warning to be placed on diet sodas that contain Aspartame which reads: 

“This product should not be consumed by individuals who are allergic to phenylalanine. Consumption by pregnant women and children under 7 is not recommended. Consumption by diabetics must be authorized by a physician.”

Drinking diet soda in an effort to control weight gain is a sad joke perpetrated upon the unsuspecting public for years and years. Many people have been mistakenly led to believe that drinking diet pop and soda (which is 200 times sweeter than sugar) will help avoid weight gain. 

The real truth about this, is that any kind of sweet taste triggers your body cells to store carbohydrates and fats, and this then stimulates the appetite and makes the body crave more carbohydrates. 

Besides the psychological dangers associated with the “justification” process that takes place when you drink a “diet” soda and then later on feel that you can now eat a high calorie dessert or a double cheese pizza, the American Cancer Society has documented that those using artificial sweeteners gain more weight than those who don’t.

The big manufacturers are well aware that most people, when they know that a product contains less fat or less sugar, will justify it to themselves that it’s okay to eat more of it. This is a really dangerous game the food industry is playing with our lives all for the sake of their fat profit margins.

And for those of you who still believe drinking or eating products containing aspartame is helping you in your diet, you must ask yourself, “How much toxic poison are you willing to subject your body to so that you can continue to overindulge?” “How much are you willing to risk your health?”

Do yourself and those you care about a BIG favor...READ THE LABELS, and if it contains artificial sweeteners, just don’t buy it. 

I swore off all sodas and pops in Grade 3 when we did that experiment with Coke® and saw how it consumed the rusty nails in about four days. 

Did you know that commercial trucks carrying the Coke® syrup concentrate are lawfully required to place “hazardous material” placards on their vehicles reserved for carrying highly corrosive materials. And did you know that in many states in the US highway patrol vehicles carry two gallons of Coke® for removing blood from the highway after accidents.

There ARE healthy alternatives out there, but you have to read labels to find them.

The individual consumer has far more “power” than you might imagine. For instance, if you stop buying unhealthy products, the manufacturers will stop producing them and will instead turn back to giving us health promoting products.

Never forget...even the smallest person can make a difference.
