"Enzymes – Sparks of Life"

An enzyme is a small molecule composed of protein. This tiny molecule is strong enough to produce a reaction and convert one substance into another without changing itself.

Once causing a reaction to occur it then moves on to help another reaction occur until it eventually wears out and dies from being overworked.

Your body naturally produces these very hard little workers, however, as a result of aging, poor diets, breathing smog or car exhaust, ingesting toxins from your shower and at least 50 other seemingly insignificant toxic environmental factors that most people come into contact with on a daily basis, the cells that produce the enzymes become less and less efficient and fewer and fewer.

Enzymes can be seriously overworked and their efficiency prematurely reduced depending on your lifestyle and diet habits. Near the end of life there are not enough enzymes remaining in our systems to do all the work necessary to sustain our bodies and eventually we die.

Enzymes can be identified by their “ase” word endings, such as amylase, which assists in the breakdown of carbohydrates, protease which works on proteins and lipase, which tears down fats. There are hundreds of other enzymes, which all have their specific roles to perform in breaking down and converting the foods we eat into usable materials for the body.

Basically, there are three groups of enzymes that your body utilizes on a daily basis. These are: digestive enzymes, metabolic enzymes and food enzymes.

  • Digestive enzymes break down food particles so that the nutrients contained in the food can be assimilated by our bodies.

  • Metabolic enzymes are the catalist for numerous chemical reactions within our cells. For instance, all of our body’s organs, tissues and cells are run by metabolic enzymes.

  • Food enzymes are naturally present in all raw foods, thus providing an external source of digestive enzymes when eaten. The particular food you eat contains just enough enzymes to break down that particular food so that it can be properly digested.

Unfortunately, the enzymes present in raw foods are destroyed upon heating, freezing, cooking or processing. Therefore, make sure to eat more raw fruits and vegetables containing their own digestive enzymes and if you eat cooked food, add a healthy digestive enzyme to your daily routine to ensure proper digestion. Without proper digestion, your body can literally starve to death on a full stomach.

Enzymes are the workers that build your body from proteins, carbohydrates and fats and without them, life as we know it would not exist.

Enzymes are the tiny sparks of life that play a necessary and vital role in virtually all of the biochemical activities that take place in your body.

Enzymes are essential for digesting food, for stimulating your brain, and for providing cellular energy. As well they are responsible for repairing all organs, tissues and cells within your body.

Each enzyme has a specific task to perform in your body that no other enzyme can fulfill.

Poor eating habits, that include eating too fast and not chewing your food adequately and eating on the run, can result in a decreased enzyme production, which in turns means your food will be poorly absorbed.

Aging decreases enzyme production, therefore it is even more important with advancing years to eat as much raw food as possible and to make certain you add a helpful digestive enzyme supplement to your daily routine when eating cooked foods so that your body will receive the maximum nutrients from your food.

Research has shown that by eating foods with their enzymes intact and by supplementing cooked foods with enzyme capsules it is possible to slow down and even stop abnormal and pathological aging processes within your body.

Make sure that you eat foods rich in enzymes, such as raw milk, bananas, avocados, seeds, nuts, grapes and other raw, natural foods and take an enzyme supplement with all cooked food.

An added benefit of taking the right digestive enzyme supplement is that you can eliminate taking harmful antacids because it also takes care of any heartburn-related problems instantly.

When you make maximum use of your enzymes you can extend your life to the maximum.
